500th post, too bad it's a sad one
Apr. 4th, 2003 10:52 pm... those of you who have
rdcf on your friends list can basically skip this post, it's pretty much the same thing.
this evening went from fun to sad pretty quickly... first we heard that Masschusetts lost its first soldier in Iraq. sadder still, since he was from the very same town we live in, and he was only 22.
for a town of 26,000 people, we've certainly been hit hard these past few years... Capt. John Ogonowski, who piloted American Airlines flight 11 on 9/11 was from here as well.
and earlier tonight, we found out that one of Rox's friends lost his 18-year old daughter in a car accident.
22 and 18 are too damn young to die. people say "war puts things into perspective"... no. people dying young does.
