why am I up at 2am? well, that's what happens when you have coffee and cheesecake around midnight, sometimes the sugar/caffeine rush gets to ya.

Was supposed to go up to the country with the pooch and some people from the dog run, but I'll likely pass... for one thing, I'd have to meet these people at 7:30, which would mean getting up way too early for a Sunday... for another thing, I'd have to walk to the meeting point, about 20+ minutes' walk. Definitely not something I'm up for considering it would be followed by hiking!

So all things considered, I think I'll sleep in tomorrow and run some errands instead.

Saw a few flicks tonight on a double-feature/sneak preview dealie...
"Serendipity" was cute, had a "Sleepless In Seattle" vibe to it. John Cusack played the character he plays in most of his movies. Kate Beckinsale is definitely easy on the eyes. Not exactly an Oscar contender, but good date-movie material, worth close to a full-price movie ticket.
"The Others"... didn't think I'd like it, but I did. The plot twists without getting confusing, and the whole vibe is suitably creepy in a Gothic sort of way. Good actin' throughout. Also worth the price of admission.

OK, now I think I'll hit the sack.

... "Enterprise" is on in 2+ hours, yayyyyyy... yes I know most of the world saw it two days ago, most of the world doesn't have my dumb-ass cable company. No UPN station for me means I see it a few days later than y'all. :p

... and of course, Trek purists are up in arms over the 'shower scene' where the Vulcan crew member takes a de-contamination shower and, well, it's a shower scene with a good-looking woman. The dumbest comment I've heard is that the character wasn't cleaning herself "efficiently", given that it's a decontamination shower, and she's a Vulcan.

So let me get this straight... someone saw this scene and criticized how efficiently the character was showering? Talk about giving Trek fans a bad name... ;)

And where were the Vulcan shower scenes in Star Trek VI when Kim Cattrall was playing a Vulcan? (Could be worse though... Leonard Nimoy!!)

... and in other news, my friends list actually has a male on it. dang, my rep as an LJ stud is gonna take a beating now.
