... what exactly are the Foo Fighters fighting? are they fighting against Foo? with Foo? for Foo? alongside Foo?

and what is Foo anyway??

... although the FAQ has this as an answer... Near the end of WWII, the U.S. Air Force patrolling German airspace encountered highly maneuverable balls of light in the area between Hagenau in Alsace-Lorraine and Neustadt an der Weinstrasse in the Rhine Valley. These unidentified flying objects came to be referred to as "Foo Fighters", or "Kraut Balls" by those who believed the objects were a secret German weapon. ... it's not quite what I had in mind. ANYway...

... and oh yes, the reading list update, or how I'm entertaining myself during my rest'n'recuperation.

firstly, [livejournal.com profile] rdcf and I had George Clooney night on Monday... rented Ocean's Eleven, which was a lot of fun, a very cool movie, reccommended.

Also rented O Brother, Where Art Thou?, which was a great movie, an absolute hoot. I was never a huge George Clooney fan before, but I have to say I very much like those two movies.

... onto the reading list. Finished The Dirt by Motley Crue. Fascinating book if you are/were into the metal scene or get off on any and all celebrity biographies... otherwise, you probably wouldn't like it. The Crue truly lived the metal excess scene, and the book doesn't pull any punches giving the blow-by-blow.

Now reading Gen X TV: The Brady Bunch to Melrose Place by Rob Owen, borrowed from Rox. it's basically a study of the TV shows that influenced our generation, written from more or less an academic standpoint. and a friend of myself and Rox is quoted in it. ;)

ok, I really need to get off this chair.
