... don't get me wrong, I love my close friends dearly, and I'm very happy for them when good things happen to them... y'know, the whole "my friends being happy makes me smile" personality trait.

that having been said... finding out that one of my old journalism school 'mates now has an assistant isn't an email I really needed to read this morning. :p

I know she works her ass off, and I know she deserves her success. but I can't even get the opportunity to be the assistant, never mind work my way up to a position where I'd have an assistant.
