... so yeah, I locked myself out of the house today. swift, I am.

I took a day off today... I can't use my remaining vacation days around Christmas since the other guy in my job is taking them, so I've been doing long(er) weekends here and there to use up my days. today being one of them, so I did the home thing while Rox did the work thing.

this morning, I went to run some errands. that was done without incident. when the mail came was when things got dorky.

the closest door from our place to our outside mailboxes is not our main entrance, it opens onto an outside deck of sorts. we have keys for it, but only ever use this door to check the mail. it has two locks... the top one can't lock you out, but the bottom one can.

guess which lock was locked when I closed the door to make sure the cat didn't escape. :p

this being a few days after Thanksgiving, I am thankful that... I was dressed warmly (even wearing a warm sweater)... my upstairs neighbor occasionally works from home... she was working from home today.

so I spent a few hours being unobtrusive until Rox came home. and now I am once again home. and will bring keys everywhere.
