... back from Christmas at my sister's with news... we signed the lease on our new apartment! our exile to the sticks will be over in mid-January!
we'll be living about a half-mile from the subway, and then about 15 minutes on the subway to work from there... we've got decent shopping and everything within walking distance, and we're very close to the highway in case we need to get anywhere. good neighborhood, nice place, lotsa storage.
and, just as a sign that leaving this apartment was the right idea, we had a ceiling fan light bulb explode yesterday. thankfully, we weren't under it at the time! our landlords, who we called about this 24 flipping hours ago, don't seem to be in a hurry to come check why they've got exploding light bulbs... fine with us, it's going to be their problem quite soon.
... back to watching some Indiana Jones... my sister and bro-in-law got us the box set for Christmas, so we're having ourselves an Indy Saturday!
