... technology been bery bery good to me today. (man, i miss that old SNL sketch... the Expos should sign Chico Esquela for sure. and Sidd Finch.)
i was supposed to work until 8pm or so... i had to validate a software update tonight... basically run a few reports and check a few settings before the actual installation, make sure everything's jake.
the whole schmeer usually takes 3 hours... it was over in about ninety minutes. whatever we poured in our servers must've done the trick. so, i was able to get home a lot earlier than planned. got to talk to Rox too... which, uh, rocks. ;) and now, it's the weekend.
... and i get to go to Toys R Us this weekend... my nephew's birthday is coming up, so it's shopping time for the kiddies (i always get gifts for both my nephew and niece at the same time). and hey, if there any toys the slightly older kid (y'know, the one typing here) would appreciate, bonus!
i still love toy stores, even at 30. a few years ago, when Tickle Me Elmo-mania had slowed down to the point that stores would have large displays of them (instead of being sold out), i would go to TRU with various cow-orkers (we had one almost next door to the office) and we would then proceed to tickle the Elmos.
many of them. in quick succession. you'd be surprised how a dozen or so shaking Elmos in close quarters can attract attention... we of course repeated this when the Bouncing Tigger dolls came out a year or three ago.
i am a big kid. a big, bearded, kid. :)
... definitely lovin' Rox. lovin' that she's working her buns off to find ways to get me into the country. lovin' that people i haven't met (yet) have a vested interest in how i'm doing because Rox cares, and they care about Rox. lovin' that Rox worries about me, even when she's got bigger fish to fry.
definitely lovin' her. :)
