... since everyone else is doing 'em, here's my year in review. but in a nutshell, the most important thing is that I'm ringing out 2002 the way I rang it in... with Rox. except that this time, we're both on the same couch instead of 300 miles apart on the phone. :)

... well, the obvious place to start for 2002 is with the whole [livejournal.com profile] rdcf situation. who knew that by this time, we'd have been married for nearly two months? I'm not terribly surprised at how quickly we took things... those who know me know that I tend to work quickly where matters of the heart are concerned.

but did I think things would go this well? hell, no. I'd be lying if I said we didn't have our problems... every couple does. but we've both grown a lot during this relationship... and more importantly, we know what it's going to take to make this marriage work.

so here we are... it's almost 2003 and I think that we're more in love than ever. I can't wait until the "big" wedding, but that's not for another ten months... can't talk about that one in a "review" post!!

... this year's been a bit of a crapshoot health-wise... I started off with a few extra pounds, lost them (and then some) training for the 10k, and probably gained them all back shortly after the 10k. right now, I'm back to about the weight I was when I ran the 10k... nowhere near in as good shape, but at least I'm keeping my weight at a decent level.

the hernia surgery was a bitch though... I was really getting into running, so the timing couldn't have been worse. I don't know if these things ever really heal 100%... but I seem to have healed as well as anyone could have predicted, which is as good as I could have hoped. (Rox taking care of me right after my surgery helped.)

I try to walk a lot whenever possible... haven't gotten into anything more strenuous though. maybe I'll get back into serious walking or light running once the weather cooperates... I'd like to feel more active again. that, or find out how the softball leagues are around here...

... it's of course been a huge up-and-down year on the job front. I completely detested my job and some of the people there at points last year, and there were times when that job was a barrel of laughs. I do regret leaving after 3 years... if I had stayed, maybe I'd have advanced with the company.

or maybe I'd have spent more time running in place. *shrug*

and yeah, it sucks being unemployed right now. more frequent temp gigs would help. something had better come up soon.

... so all in all, it's been a roller-coaster of a year. 2003 should be an interesting one. :)
