coming soon, hallowe'en candy?
Feb. 13th, 2003 12:20 pm... so just now, I went to our conveniently-located grocery store (it's literally kitty-corner to our place) to buy the staples of life... milk, frozen pizza, those candy hearts with the sayings on them. (I think Rox and I are addicted to those hearts, actually... must be the "ink" they use.)
the pickings in the "seasonal" half-aisle were understandably thin, seeing as it's the day before Valentine's Day. but guess what they had on the very first rack?
Easter candy. I think there may have been Peeps. (there were Valentine's Peeps as well, but that's irrelevant.)
Easter's in NINE WEEKS. 66 days. isn't there at least a rule that the previous holiday has to pass before you start pushing the next one?
except for the whole Thanksgiving/Christmas period, which wouldn't be a problem if the US would adopt Canadian Thanksgiving in October ;)
Easter candy. in February. at this rate, I expect to see July 4th displays as soon as the St. Patrick's Day stuff comes down!
