... funniest line i've quite possibly ever heard on a Star Trek episode:

I can see my house from here! - Klingon captain experiencing a holosuite for the first time on last week's "Enterprise".

if it doesn't sound funny here, it's hilarious in context. trust me.

... by popular request (OK, one person), i should inform you all that i bought khakis the other night. and a winter coat with zip-out lining. i'm way proud of the coat... it's warm and waterproof and looks good, and was a super deal.

...also bought an optical wheelmouse 'cuz it was way cheap. then found out i could've gotten it for even cheaper through connections. d'oh, say I.

... got the crap scared out of me at the dog run today... my dog ran by me, i noticed she had blood on her face. so of course i freaked out and checked her over... turns out *another* dog that she was playing with bit its own tongue, and when they were playing close, some blood got on my dog before the other dog's owner noticed.

i feel like such a parent sometimes. like when she had this vomiting and drooling spell a while back... had to rush her to the emergency vet. turns out it was just a mini-bug, but i was still scared shitless.

pets'll do that to you, i guess.

yeah, except you can leave pets alone, and you can't leave kids alone. then again, kids move out sooner or later. though pets talk back less. unless they're parrots.
