... montreal weather annoys me tremendously. this hot-cold-wet-dry-windy-sunny weather salad is doing a major number on my sinuses. :p like they always say, if you don't like the weather here, wait about 5 minutes, it'll change.

could be worse though... ever been in Winnipeg in January? i once had what was scheduled to be a one-hour stopover there en route to Calgary... it ended up being 4-1/2 hours. why, you ask? because part of the plane froze on the runway.

yes, froze .

it was -43 degrees (which is freaking cold in celsius or fahrenheit) at the airport at 9pm, and part of the plane froze solid. and the Winnipeg airport isn't exactly the most exciting place to spend a stopover. thankfully though, it has a bar... a few dozen cribbage games and a few beers (i lost count of both after a while) helped pass the time tho.

and i got to see the Northern Lights over Saskatchewan when we got going again, so that rocked... seeing aurora borealis from the air on a clear night is breathtaking. it's like someone just took brushes and painted across the sky.

Ya know all that stuff you said about Winnipeg in winter? Yeah, I lived there for 6 years. There was a stretch in January 1996 where it was -65C for like 10days. yeah, that includes the wind chill, but my GOD it was cold. :)

Here in the east? last year i was planting tulips in sweats and a tshirt on Nov17.

That is all.

true true, i had forgotten you were a frozen 'Pegger once upon a time. ;)

Calgary had weird-ass weather too... we were BBQinq outside in shorts on Groundhog day that year, with 3 feet of snow on the ground. Chinooks rule.
