What was the first record you owned?
Some K-tel type compliation of early 80's stuff... I remember it had "Out Of Touch" by Hall & Oates on it.
Is there a song that reminds you most of your childhood?
Not really... my musical memories only really begin around my early teens, at which point my memory becomes a whole mess of 80s stuff.
If your life was a movie, what song would play over the following:
Opening credits:
"(You're A) Strange Animal" by Gowan (no shock there, huh?)
Love Scene:
"This Love" by Don Henley
Driving scene that consists mostly of flashbacks and love lost:
"Easy Like Sunday Morning", but the Faith No More version
Closing credits:
"A Criminal Mind", Gowan
If applicable, name a song or concert that moved you to tears:
Tears, none. Emotional rushes, plenty... both Bon Jovi concerts I've been to, I've been stunned at how they have the audience in the palm of their hand for two hours.
Name an album that is perfect all the way through - No filler, no bad stuff:
"Faith", George Michael.
Music you like that could be considered a guilty pleasure:
gotta agree with Cassie... Eminem. Even if a lot of what he (or Slim Shady, or whoever he wants to be) says is pretty reprehensible, he is also incredibly talented.
If your music collection was about to go up in flames, which 5 CDs would you save?
I own wayyyyy too many greatest hits sets to make this fair... uh... Elvis Presley, George Michael, Gowan, Metallica, Holly Cole.
Is there a song that describes you or a situation so well that you could have written it?
Not an all-encompassing one, more songs that fit a certain time.
Which underrated artist deserves more attention?
Holly Cole.
Has a song or artist changed your life in any way? If so, how?
Gowan... I discovered his music in my mid-teens and it appealed to me right away. He painted such vivid lyrical pictures, and a lot of his songs from that time dealt with "misfits" dealing with the world. It definitely hit home.
What is your favourite soundtrack?
Pulp Fiction, Wedding Singer, Grease.
What is your all time favourite music video?
"Take On Me", A-Ha.
Current favourite radio hit:
Don't laugh... "In Da Club" by 50 Cent. Damn, that's catchy.
