... home again. doesn't look like I'll be working much this week either... the temp agencies don't have anything for me so far, and considering we have the big INS interview on Thursday morning and deliveries coming here tomorrow, my availability is pretty much shot. hopefully the job karma will come back by next week!

... the deliveries should, however, be fun. Rox and I are upgrading our printer set-up from a somewhat-old Canon and a somewhat-old HP to a brand-new HP printer/fax/scanner/photo printer. trust me, you'd have to see our old printers to realize how badly this new one is needed. it'll be fun to print out a decent-sized document in under an hour.

and and and... we're getting a shredder. cross-cut, even. the highlight of a few of my temp assignments has been getting to shred stuff, so having our own will be fun. lots of good stuff being delivered tomorrow.

seriously though, shredders are great... you never know what can happen to documents with your personal info on them if they aren't disposed of properly. I'm sure we've got scads of old paperwork around here to shred.

... this was a good weekend for me sports-wise. firstly, my boys are one win away from sweeping the Bruins into hiberation for the summer. I've already warned Rox many times that the farther New Jersey goes in the playoffs, the weirder I get.

and of course there's Mike Weir, first Canadian golfer to win the Masters. he's in the top three PGA money winners so far this season... and that's a lot when you factor in that a million dollars US (his prize money for the Masters) is like seventeen billion Canadian. ;)

... other goodness: we're doing Easter dinner with Rox's maid of honor, she invited us today. she's really cool, and her husband is authentic Irish, so he must rock. and their son, who I have yet to meet, is an adorable little (a year old or so) guy. should be fun.

... and if the weather's as nice the next few days as it should be (high 70s, low 80s... that's mid-20s in Celsius), I plan to take a few strolls around town, get some sun on my face and winter pudge off my waist. it's a win-win.

A little wedding terminology - maid of honor is single, matron of honor is married, so Brenda is my matron of honor (though admittedly that term makes the woman sound like she's ancient)

I sit corrected... see, the guys have it easier, the best man is the best man no matter what!

Now this is something I've never quite understood. She's called the Maid of Honour because she's a step above your average Bridesmaid. Why is it there's a Matron of Honour, but not Bridesmatron? (aside from the fact it sounds dumb)
