... whoever is in charge of my life has an odd sense of timing.

I was originally supposed to temp on Monday at the recurring really cool temp gig. I won't be, but for a very good reason... they lined me up a FIVE WEEK gig instead. suh-weet.

it's still outbound calling, but it isn't what I consider evil t*l*m*rk*t*ng... they're IT consultants who throw big conference/shmoozefests, and I'm calling up people who are already their clients and telling them about the conference that's coming up. it's cool to *not* have anyone be angry to hear your voice, y'know?

so yeah, I'm liking the gig. but wait... today, Day 1 of this gig, I get a call from one of the other temp agencies. these people have had nothing for me for weeks on end, and today they call me to see if I'm available for a few short gigs next week. uhhh, kinda not.

it was all I could do to resist asking them why their timing is horrible.

but hey, i've got a steady gig for the next few. here's to good job karma!
