strangeanimal... back online after pretty much a day sans 'pooter... my power supply went floey last night, so i had to bring the CPU in to get fixed after work today. luckily, they did it right on the spot so i didn't have to go through heavier withdrawal symptoms (pant, wheeze, gasp)... ;)
so i now have a new power supply (and video card for some reason). extended warranties rule.
it's so weird to look in the service area at this store though, it's like some sort of computer slaughterhouse with various parts strewn hither and yon, CPUs with their guts exposed to the world... amputated peripherals, new ones ready for transplants... all they need are lab coats. no wait, that's at the cosmetics counters for some reason. i didn't know makeup was an invasive process. ;)
