How is it, Mr. Animal, that you and your wife are so good at keeping track of LJ birthdays? I have "birthday notifications" checked off but have never once received a reminder. Do you actually write them down in your dayplanner or something?

One way to keep track of birthdays is to use . That's what I do, when I remember.

www.livejournal.com/portal lists your friends' birthdays... frequent checking encourages prompt birthday wishes!
