pret-ty weather.

strangeanimal... took advantage of a great weather day yesterday. every year, The River, one of the few radio stations I've heard that doesn't suck, holds a big free concert in Newburyport (a coast town not too far from here). this year they had Bruce Cockburn headlining... Rox loves Bruce, and he's Canadian so therefore he is cool. Jesse Harris and Nickel Creek were also on the bill... Harris wrote most of Norah Jones' hits, so if nothing else, he's one hell of a songwriter.
it was a really fun day... we hooked up with a few of Rox's co-workers and assorted friends and sat on a blanket listening to the show (we couldn't see a thing, but we could hear it pretty well). there were lots of cute kids and dogs around too, so that was fun.
afterwards, we made a pilgrimage to our favorite sweet-stuff store, and bought way too much chocolate and fudge. :)
... and just now, our upstairs neighbour gave us some Cape Cod salt-water taffy as a thank-you for picking up her mail while she was gone. double-yum.
... off to do groceries soon, back to work tomorrow.
