theme? none, really.
Aug. 2nd, 2003 02:18 pm... never underestimate the humidity readings, especially in the Northeast. walked up to get a haircut this morning... seeing that it was 68F/20C and looked like rain, I wore my Adidas track suit jacket in case it rained.
unfortunately, I failed to notice the 99% or so humidity, which apparently makes it feel a LOT warmer. by the time I got to my haircut, I was a Patrick-shaped puddle. and that was after taking off the jacket and carrying it a few minutes from home.
between Montreal, Calgary and here, I seem to gravitate towards living places with crazy-ass weather.
... Mountain Dew Live Wire is really starting to grow on me. but go figure, the one time I like a Dew drink, it's only on sale for this summer. *shakes fist at the Mountain Dew people* and somewhere,
gspchrisl is chuckling reading this.
... Ice Cream Day at work this coming Wednesday... I've never had the ice cream they're serving, but it's apparently a perennial Best of Boston. I'm thinking a scoop of vanilla, a scoop of chocolate, chocolate syrup. and if they have M&Ms or chocolate chips to sprinkle on top, all the better. (note to self: pack very small lunch Wednesday.
last week was our national sales meeting, so we had a bunch of functions and meetings since most of the company was in one place. Monday added yet another baseball cap and t-shirt to my collection of work-related clothing... the cap isn't bad, except that it's white, and thus will get dirty as soon as I look at it sideways.
the t-shirt is your typical work-related inspire-the-troops t-shirt. in other words, if you wear it in public you'd have to explain it to anyone who bothers to read it.
our president/CEO was in Boston as well (from home base in London)... she told us our division is kicking butt. if this gets me a raise or more job security, I'm all for it.
