strangeanimal... firstly, wisdom tee'th'. as in, I just got one pulled. the Novocaine hasn't worn off yet, so I haven't cracked open the Percocets yet. I hope I'm not too useless this weekend... :p
... nextly, celebrity dea'th'. as in, Robert Palmer, dead of a heart attack at 54. Damn. I have some good Palmer memories... actually, they're of friends either lip-syncing, or karaoke-ing, to Palmer tunes. there's something about "Addicted To Love" that makes groups of women line up behind men and start dancing. he gave us some classic tunes.
... and, George Plimpton, dead at 76. Probably the most erudite writer about sports you'll ever have read. I may have to re-read "Paper Lions"... or watch 'When We Were Kings" again (he was covering the Rumble In the Jungle and appears in the documentary pretty frequently.
