ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnuldt
Oct. 9th, 2003 08:47 pm... so Arnold has been elected Governor of California. but, apparently, the rest of the administration, up to and including Lieutenant-Governor Cruz Bustamante, stays in place (if I'm not mistaken). so, how much change is really happening with the state government that ran up the huge deficit in the first place?
Schwarzenegger is certainly evasive as far as answering questions goes... then again, considering how short of a campaign it was, the alternative would be hearing him spout off unrehearsed.
honestly, I'm interested in seeing how this plays out. if Arnold is smart enough to use the resources around him (better than Davis seemed to, at any rate), lets the experts do the thinking and focuses on basically lighting a fire under California's ass, this could work. not to miracle-worker levels, but it would certainly be a change.
and I'm from Quebec, so I know all about dysfunctional government.
