it's President's Day
Feb. 16th, 2004 08:49 am... so go celebrate two great presidents by buying cars and other consumer goods! ;)
... I'm off today (yay) but Rox isn't (boo)... I know she makes up the holiday at some point this year, just don't remember when.
and they really need to space out holidays better around here, considering they don't really do Good Friday and/or Easter Monday (other than schools, I guess)... after today, there's nothing until May. meanwhile, between Thanksgiving and President's Day, you've got 5 or 6 days off in like three months.
... Valentines Day was fun... we didn't do a big v-day thing, but we did go see BNL. they were playing at the UMass campus in Amherst (about 90 miles from here), so we drove out there with a few people from one of the BNL boards online.
'twas a really cool concert (helped very muchly by having close seats), though the guy next to me caught one of the drumsticks Tyler threw into the crowd after the show (which I would've given to my sweetie had I caught it).
and if you sprinkle Cheerios onto a stage, you can make snow angels in them. (see kids, rock and roll is educational!)
afterwards, we stuck around and got pictures with the band... they seem to do the autographs-on-the-way-to-the-bus thing at a lot of their shows, which is cool... they actually spent a decent amount of time signing, which was above and beyond considering it was past midnight and ass-cold.
ok, off to shower, then do various around-the-home stuff.
