popcorn follies
Feb. 18th, 2004 11:10 am... note to self from last night: when heating microwave popcorn for the first time in a microwave, watch it like a hawk. *cough* *cough*
so yeah, there were popcorn issues last night. see, I had the popcorn down to a science in Dracut... just long enough to leave very few kernels unpopped, but not long enough to burn. but that microwave was built-in, so it obviously stayed when we moved out.
fast-forward to the new microwave. you know how they say the popcorn should be ready when the popping is a few seconds apart? there was already a bit of smoke coming out of the bag at that point. :p
so yeah, I'm thinking a few unpopped kernels will be the strategy from here on out... not a big fan of blackened popcorn, y'know?

Our kitchen is just a plethora of bad smells lately! It's quite sad really.
What's that smell?

If I don't stand over it, the bread can go from toasted to on fire in a few seconds. Don't get me started on what it can do to poptarts.
