... Craigslist rocks. we listed some extraneous stuff (old bedframe and a few old-to-very-old computers), stuff that we just wanted to get rid of... and it sold almost immediately, sold as in "people are willing to pay us for our extraneous stuff". and we don't even have to ship it, unlike eBay.

... Schoenhofs Books rocks. I was discussing weird stuff with one of my cow-orkers... this one in particular used to teach English in Japan and studies languages in college. we got on the subject of French literature, and I was talking about how I hadn't read anything longer than a web page in french for years.

said cow-orker told me about Schoenhofs, a store near Harvard that has tons of books in tons of languages... Harry Potter in Czech, anyone? I managed to restrain myself and only bought three books... the screenplay for Le Declin de l'Empire Americain(The Decline of the American Empire), and both volumes of Le Comte de Monte Cristo(The Count of Monte Cristo). But yeah, I think I found me a new hangout.

and of course, that book reminds me of this bit from The Shawshank Redemption...

Heywood : The Count of Monte Crisco...
Floyd : That's "Cristo" you dumb shit.
Heywood : ...by Alexandree Dumb-ass. Dumb-ass.
Andy Dufresne : Dumb-ass? "Dumas". Ever read it? You'll like that one Heywood, it's about a prison break.
Red : Jailbreak? Maybe we oughta file that one under "Educational" too.

We've got a few random things we'd like to ditch before we move. Maybe I'll try Craigslist instead of donating it all.

Thanks for the thought!

Does that book store have anything in Latin?
In particular, "Harrius Potter et Philosophi Lapis" ?

I saw that exact book, actually... they had a selection of Potter in a few languages... Russian, Czech (I think), a handful of others.
