Devils Captain Scott Stevens Retires after 22 NHL Seasons



There are captains, and then there are Captains. Scott Stevens was a CAPTAIN. When you saw him on the ice during a game, his look said "don't even *think* of fucking with us".

The Devs have some huge skates to fill. And I think I'll program TiVo right now for the 2008 Hall of Fame inductions.

Happy retirement, Cap'n.

I saw this post and said to Keith "This is why I like having Patrick on my friendslist. He posts about hockey."

Keith grew up in Detroit and is therefore entirely conversant in hockey. I don't know very much about hockey, not having really followed it until the Hurricanes made their run for the Stanley Cup, but I like it.

once we live somewhere halfway close to the city, I fully intend to take advantage of the 'Canes having the cheapest ticket prices in the league... the main reason I never go to Bruins games is the prices! I thought Montreal was expensive, then I moved here...
