doh! a deer! a female deer!

strangeanimal... i am so wiped... been on assignment at work for the past two weeks, testing on our newest drop of software until this Friday.
the good news is it's a completely different vibe when i'm on assignment... i'm in a building with almost exclusively IT people, and everyone has full cubicles (as opposed to the half-walls at my usual office), so i can concentrate a lot more and get a lot downe when i'm in a "zone".
the bad news is that, as with most software testing, there's a crapload to do and not much time to do it in. some days i can actually work 7 hours and bail, some days it's time to bring a lunch and dinner. and hey, friday's supposed to go until at least 11pm.
luckily there's a dead period of at least an hour on friday where there's nothing much for us (my cow-orker Ann and i) to do but sit and watch numbers climb while they do systems backups etc., so i'll at least get to duck out, go home and walk the dog, since she's not terribly fond of going from 8am 'till late night without being walked.
but at least on monday it's back to bizness as semi-usual.
and it's a little over 3 weeks until presidents' day. :)
