... 7-11 now has Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper Slurpees. The only thing keeping me from drinking 2 or 3 a day is that it's February. Though I did have one yesterday. Even though it is February. Because that's how I roll.

... Coke now has Cherry Vanilla Coke. To go with their Cherry Coke. And, um, their Vanilla Coke. Methinks Coke is running out of ideas. I think I'll write them a letter suggesting Coke with 7 calories. For people who care about their calorie intake, but not as much as the Diet Coke crowd. 7 more whole calories worth of the good stuff, baby!

I'd suggest Jalapeno Coke, but Jones Soda would probably beat me to it.

I'm posting about soft drinks. Then again, I'm drinking a can of free soda. Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. Free makes it taste that much better. My LJ... all the calories, half the content. ;)

ETA: Jones Soda makes an energy drink called WhoopAss. Sold in cans, of course.

Coke can keep putting out different flavors up to and including Shit Coke, as long as they keep making my Coke Zero, aka Exilir of Life. ;)

The Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is actually quite good. It can't touch Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, but that's because DCV Dr. P is the best diet soda I've ever had in my entire life. Nay, the best SODA.

DCV Dr. P (and CV Dr. P, when it's available, which is very sporadic), are teh sex, in convenient soft drink form. I'd buy it every day, but then it'd be the "if Christmas were every day then Christmas wouldn't be special" argument as put forth in "Elmo Saves Christmas".

I only buy it when it's on sale. Otherwise it's near $5 for a 12-pack. What the hell is that?

They price DP here the same as Coke (same distributor, I think), so it's cheap pretty frequently. Which is nice.

That was one thing that sucked about Montreal... Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke for some reason were impossible to find. You'd see tons of it for a while, then poof. *shrug*

i've actually had a can of whoop-ass sitting in my fridge for some time. It tastes like smarties dissolved in sprite.

I've never had any particular hankering for energy drinks... the ones I've had were decent enough (beats Jolt cola any day), but nothing that made me want to spend two bucks a can.

though some of the names (Pimp Juice is a particular favorite) amuse me.

umm,...I mean, yuck.

Leave it to me to present a disenting opinion.

If I was dying of thirst, I would rather drink my own pee than something as disgusting sounding as Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.

Anything even remotely related to Dr. Pepper I could do without, but this is just me.

I used to like Jolt cola, but too much of it tends to burn a hole in the stomach lining. 8-|

your dissent is noted. and since you and I, when having beverages together, tended towards copious amounts of beer anyway, kinda moots the whole Dr. Pepper discussion. ;)

Fair enough...the whole Dr. Pepper aversion is, I think, related to how it tastes too much like Southern Comfort,...and I suffered from a bad Southern comfort experience several years back...can't even smell the stuff without getting ill.

On the beer front, there are some fine microbreweries in your area, saves you from the mass produced stuff.

I can no longer drink soda except in extreme moderation. Looking at the ingredients in Whoop-Ass though... isn't taurine a component of pee anyway?

Their promotion for V-day suffers badly: Sony music has been in the center of a major scandal for their CDs having rootkits (hacker tools) included.

I haven't really looked at the ingredients of pee too much, I leave that for the doctor. ;)

I drink a lot less soda than i used to, usually 2 cans a day.

*snrk* "Extreme moderation"??

When you look at the ingredients of anti-wrinkle cream, chemical fertilizer, and an urinalysis, you will find that you can save time and money on cosmetics, garden supplies, and water simply by peeing into a bucket and washing your face in it out of doors. Yea, urea is a magic skin-conditioning and high-nitro compound. :)

I object on principle to anything that lists as an ingredient: "flavour". (Well, flavour of WHAT?)

OMG. I covet one of those Slurpees. I should also like to point out that I've never even seen a 7-11, let alone had a Slurpee.

I'd love to do that. Malheureusement, I walk everywhere. Walking to civilisation means crossing the lake or the river.
