Dude, the mens' team can't? I saw the tail end of Canada vs. Russia, which Canada PWNZOR3D 12-0. Did the Russian team just not have a goalie for most of the game or something? 'cause I don't even watch hockey, and I *know* that's not a normal hockey score.

erm, that 12-0 game was also the women. the men have lost 2-0 to Finland and freaking SWITZERLAND.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Swiss coach Canadian... and wasn't the guy who scored their two goals born in Canada? I don't think we should let other countries have our secret weapons anymore. Not if they're going to use them against us, that is.

Oh absolutely. it's one thing when a guy at least has ancestry... a lot of the guys on Italy's team are Italian-Canadian or Americans. Paul DiPietro got his Swiss citizenship a few weeks before the Olympics, after playing for a Swiss league team for a few years. :p

..which pretty much sums up yesterday's effort by the men. 'Nuff said.

But I will say this, the women in this Olympic (Canadian women, that is) are kicking major butt! They are bringing home almost all of our medals and the men, what have you done for me lately?!?

Yes, I am one of those people who is obsessed with the Olympics and damn proud of it!
