... having watched a House rerun and Blackadder DVDs back-to-back tonight, it's hard to believe that Hugh Laurie is in both of them.

He's so good as House, it's completely weird to see him playing a dumbass (actually a few different ones) over the course of the series.

I heartily recommend Blackadder for those of you looking for a larf. (And, of course, if you're watching BBC sitcoms, may I also recommend Red Dwarf.) (Hey, that rhymes.)

Please don't tell me you only recently discovered Blackadder. Because that would just be sad. I personally take pride in being one of the few Americans who knew who Hugh Laurie was during the late 80's/early 90's. But, being Canadian, I would expect more from you then I would of them. It's that whole dry, warped sense of humor things Canadians have going on. ;-)

Oh, I had discovered Blackadder wayyyyy back... went to an all-day Blackadderfest when a friend got the VHS set as a gift. It was Hugh Laurie who I only recently discovered, he kind of blended into a group of British comedic actors up until House.

But, but, but, how did you miss him in Blackadder the Third? I thought he rather stood out in that, having a main character and all. Um, and ditto for Blackadder Goes Forth. :P

If you are a Hugh Laurie fan, you also have to check out Jeeves and Wooster as well as A Bit of Fry & Laurie

(besides all the Huse abd Black Adder, all available at (insert shameless plug here...) Avenue Video Westminster.
