missin' her already
May. 5th, 2002 07:10 pm...
rdcf is on her way back home. missin' her like crazy... even more now that it's my fiancée driving 300 miles in the opposite direction.
three weeks. and they can't pass soon enough.
... had breakfast with my parents this morning, Rox got the official welcome to the family. i think she can stop fretting now, my parents like her. ;)
also dropped in on my sister, who's in town with bro-in-law and the kids for the week. everyone seemed to like everyone else there too. :) Rox was impressed that she stopped my niece's crying... she's got that whole magic touch thing going, must be.
and the kids are getting so big!! and smart!! :) my nephew (he's 4) knows his phone number, his address, can tell me what his room looks like... and my niece (1-1/2) basically just follows everything he does, so she's picking things up quickly. love those kids. :)
... saw Spider-Man last night. I really liked it... it wasn't exactly Oscar material, but you get what you paid for in spades, lots of action and SFX up the wazoo.
and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane? Ohhhhh, mama. Yoicks, even. She's no Rox though. :)
... and of course a running update... after a few less-than splendid practice sessions (bad weather, bad sinuses), had a pretty good one on Friday... we apparently managed to put in close to 10K, with harder difficulty than the actual course we'll be running, in under an hour.
i wasn't exactly the fastest guy out there, but at least now i know i can do the distance, and i can work on my pacing more. go me. :)
