I don't think I'll want to add up all the years it will take me. I'm sure Spielberg really regrets dropping out 34 years ago. He's done so little with his life. Can you imagine being one of his professors grading his papers? It reminds me of the Far Side strip where God shut out his opponents on Jeopardy.
He must have gotten an honorary doctorate or two along the way! Hrm!
I worked on my BA from 1985 to 1991... 6 years! I was having too much damn fun in school. After I completed the credits I never applied for the actual paper until 8 years later. I didn't want to wait in line at the registrars office, deal with the paper work, and have the U hounding me for donations until long after death... all for a piece of paper that says basically means "he's capable of inhalation and exhalation". Employers were as likely to check if I had been awarded a Bachelor of Arts as they were to check my high school attendance record.
It wasn't until I had to apply for a US visa that I needed the actual paper BA.
