friday five. on saturday. yup.
Jun. 22nd, 2002 09:03 ami think i'm only posting friday fives that interest me now... not as many people seem to be posting them these days anyway...
1. Do you live in a house, an apartment or a condo? apartment, like my entire life save two months (more details below)
2. Do you rent or own? rent, but hope to buy a house with
rdcf in the not-too-distant future. :)
3. Does anyone else live with you? just the four-legged face-licking biscuit-eating furball. :)
4. How many times have you moved in your life? a few of these are approximations due to my being really young at the time...
- 1972(?), from one apartment in Montreal to another a few miles east
- 1974(?), from that apartment to the first one i remember living in, a few streets west
- 1977(?), same building, larger apartment
- July 1981, apartment building a few blocks away, where my parents have been ever since
- January 1997, rooming with childhood buddy Tim and his then-fiancee in a two-bedroom "starter house" (theirs) in Calgary
- March 1997, back in with my folks after (a) Calgary's "job boom" turned out to be mostly in the service and sales sectors, neither of which i wanted a part of and (b) the living situation got unbearable to the point that either myself or Tim's fiancee was absent during every waking hour.
- July 1999, my own apartment a few miles south-west of my parents
- October(ish?) 2002, an apartment, somewhere in Massachusetts, with Rox. :)
so seven and counting.
5. What are your plans for this weekend? doing some errands today, no major plans unless something pops up. laundry tomorrow morning, puttering around the house tomorrow afternoon, heading out with a few friends to watch a wrestling PPV Sunday night. working Monday even though it's a holiday in Quebec... since our office deals with the whole of Canada, we're open with a skeleton staff.
besides, working the holiday means not much work, relative quiet in the office, and getting an extra day off to make up the holiday. can't beat that!!
