beverage review and other news
Jul. 13th, 2002 06:03 pm... today's beverage review: Vanilla Coke, which just recently became available here in Moe-Ray-Al.
and the verdict is... I like! the vanilla taste is definitely there, but not overly so... i was initially worried that it'd be like sucking down a bottle of vanilla extract with a few drops of Coke, but that wasn't the case. the vanilla is about as prevalent as cherry is in Cherry Coke.
(memo to Coca-Cola: bring Cherry Coke back to Montreal. or don't... they have it in MA anyway. ;))
the vanilla taste itself is more the "expensive vanilla ice cream" vibe as opposed to the "plain ice cream with a few drops of imitation vanilla extract, 1 gallon for 99 cents", if that makes any sense.
is it the greatest soft drink ever? no, that'd still be Dr. Pepper. (as an aside, the propect of Dr. Pepper Red Fusion still weird me out. we shall taste and see.)
but Vanilla Coke is definitely drinkable.
... other news: my wrist is tired. (no, not because of *that*, perverts!!)
thothmeister enlisted my help for furniture assembly since he knows i'm all about getting Ikea on some assembly-required furniture.
thirty two looooooooong wood screws later, the Thothmeister has a shelf unit. and i think i have carpal tunnel. ;)
also borrowed a few books from him, but i'll post about those later on when i've finished my reading list for my two weeks while laid up (four books and counting). watch this space.

Date: 2002-07-15 03:42 am (UTC)I'm not that fond of Vanilla Coke though - it just doesn't do anything for me. It's drinkable, yes, but I wouldn't spend money for it.
