ok, so the vulcans weren't nekkid
Oct. 1st, 2001 07:03 pm... my Current Music goes out with a mad shout-out to Thothmeister!
So I watched "Enterprise" last night... I liked it! It's definitely different from anything previous... the scenery had to look "rougher" since it's obviously set when Star Fleet is in its infancy, and everything would lack the polish that later generations of equipment, starships etc. would bring.
Having James Cromwell appear (sortof) as Zephram Cochrane was a nice touch... it's a small link, but it's a tip of the hat to the series/movies that have come earlier. It also reminds me of DeForest Kelley appearing in the first ST:TNG episode, and Walter Koenig and James Doohan in ST: Generations... passing the torch if you will.
Hey, when you've got 35 years of "history" to draw from, continuity's important.
I'll agree grudgingly with many people though... yeah, the shower scene was gratuitous. That, and I had no idea that Vulcans wore such Earth-looking underwear... ;)
I definitely plan to keep watching... I already like Enterprise much better than I did DS9 or Voyager.
And hey, the next movie is Star Trek X, which means it's an even number, which means it won't suck!
