strangeanimal... one of my work buddies made my day today (or at least my lunch hour). he came back from South Carolina today with a prezzie for me... a bottle of Cherry Coke!
we had been talking about our fave beverages a while back, and my longing for Cherry Coke (which they no longer sell in Montreal) must've stuck in his head! sometimes my friends completely rule.
... I've found a taker for the dog... sort of... the Animal Rescue Network is an outfit that finds homes for abused/abandoned dogs, and volunteers take care of the dogs in their homes in the meantime. while mine isn't abused/abandoned, they're nonetheless potentially saving her from death at the SPCA.
in other words, no SPCA, no euthanasia. :) i'll be bringing her to an Adoption Day this weekend, where hopefully she'll find a good new home. everyone cross your fingers!
