strangeanimal... so they announced at work today they're cutting seven people, about 20% of the staff. they're trying to find 'em jobs elsewhere in the company, but still. weeks after they said there wouldn't be any cuts at my office during the "restructuring"... cuts.
so now everyone's walking on eggshells, since really, nobody's job is safe there anymore. the really shitty part is that most of us come from an office (now closed) where large-scale cuts like this happened as well. hell, some of us have been with three or more companies while they were basically running on fumes.
it's three in a row for me... I was fired from a start-up two weeks before it closed up shop... I left my previous job less than a year before it shut down... and now this.
the rest of the company is doing fairly well, of course... it's the division I happen to be in that's tanking. which makes my previous rants about not being able to move within the company a little more ironic, eh?
i'll be off on the job search websites if anyone needs me.
