happy birthday to me!
Oct. 30th, 2002 06:35 pm... yup, I'm 31 today. still boyishly handsome though.
...
rdcf gave me my b-day festivities yesterday... she's under the weather, so she decided to celebrate while she was still able to, knowing she was going to feel worse today.
we cooked burgers on my new (as in, birthday present) George Foreman Fat-Burning Super-Duper Grill (or whatever it's actually called)... you'd be amazing how much grease that sucker wrings out of a burger. less grease and fat in our tummies is a good thing!!
so yeah, we had an all-American dinner... burgers, steak fries, and Coke, with chocolate ice cream and cake for dessert. Rox rocks. best wife ever. :)
... today was more running around... back to Boston to meet with two more employment agencies. (hey, I'll commit to one... as soon as they find me something. earn my love!!)
so far there have been a few nibbles, but nothing has panned out. and annoyingly enough today, I wasted my afternoon: called up an agency that had come recommended by
boston, told them what I was looking for, they told me to come in (since I was already going to be in town anyway) and meet with them.
I spent an hour and a half there. the result? they can't really do anything for me, because their area of staffing expertise doesn't really mesh with what I'm looking for. they couldn't have told me that ninety minutes previous? or asked me a few more questions over the phone and not had me come in at all? (a few other agencies did just that... kudos to them for not wasting my time.)
... so I'm just havin' me a quiet birthday... answered some emails, spoke to the folks. now, I'm just waiting for the UPS people to come by with my scads o' presents. ;)

A George Foreman Grill eh? Is that a note that you don't cook enough? :)
